Scholarship Requirements

We offer several massage therapy and personal training scholarship opportunities at WellSpring. All scholarships also require two lettera of recommendation and a current resume.

Massage Therapy Scholarships

  • Community Service Scholarship – Available to a student/s who demonstrates need and agrees to provide 20 additional hours of community service via massage outreach events. With their application, students must submit an essay of at least 500 words on the topic: “Why Community Outreach Is Important to My Development as A Massage Therapist.” 
  • Academic Merit Scholarship – Available to a student who demonstrates a high level of academic achievement (Wonderlic or prior GPA). Applicants must submit a 500-word essay entitled: “Why I Want to Become a Massage Therapist.”  
  • T. Oglesby Founders Award – Available to a student/s based on need (Estimated Family Contribution amount), and an essay of 500 words on the topic: “Why I Will Make an Excellent Massage Therapist.” 
  • Health Professional Scholarship – Available to eligible students who are currently working in the professional health/medical industry, including but not limited to registered dietitians, nurses, doctors and chiropractors. Applicants must submit a 750-word essay entitled "How Massage Therapy Will Enhance My Career." 

 

Personal Training & Wellness Scholarships

 

  • Community Service Scholarship – Available to students who demonstrate need and agrees to provide 5 additional hours of community service via outreach events. With their application, students must submit an essay of at least 300 words on the topic: “Why Community Outreach Is Important to My Development as A Personal Trainer.” 
  • Academic Merit Scholarship – Available to one student per cohort who demonstrates a high level of academic achievement (Wonderlic or prior GPA). Applicants must submit a 500-word essay entitled: “Why I Want to Become a Personal Trainer.”  
  • T. Oglesby Founders Award – Available to student/s based on need (Estimated Family Contribution amount), and an essay of 500 words on the topic: “Why I Will Make an Excellent Personal Trainer.”
