Massage Can Help with Diabetes Conditions

Almost 8 percent of the population suffers from diabetes. And of those 23.6 million diabetics, many of them also suffer from peripheral arterial disease (PAD), a common circulatory problem in which narrowed arteries reduce blood flow to the limbs. While PAD can be dangerous, recent research shows that connective-tissue massage improves blood circulation in the lower limbs of Type-2 diabetic patients, and may be useful to slow the progression of peripheral arterial disease.
